- Have you ever sung on public? Few times.
- Have you ever dyed your hair blond? Nope. I have a natural black brown hair.
- Have you ever eaten frog legs? Never. They say it tastes like chicken but I never did try.
- Have you ever receive a present that you really hated? Hmm..not really to that extent. I just didn't like the gift that much but never hated it.
- Have you ever walked into a lamp post? Huh!
- Have you ever cooked a meal by yourself for more than 15 people? I did cook for more than 30 people in one occasion but I have my brother who assisted me in preparing the foods.
- Have you ever fallen or stumbled in front of others? No... and I don't want to, LOL! that's too embarrassing.
- Have you ever done volunteer works? Yes, a few times too.
Anyone is free to grab the tag... just don't forget to buzz me when you do. Thanks!
Glad to hear from you again Eds. Thanks for passing on this tag. Mine is getting nearer (next month) yet I don't even want to think about it. My last year's birthday wasn't worth remembering although I was still grateful God made me safe all through out the year. I don't really make birthday wishes since what happened in 2004 (:-$) but I'm making way for a few for this year.
Here's my birthday wishlist:
- always a healthy life for my daughters and my family
- to hopefully meet JK this year.
- a VISA grant
- a plane ticket to the USA (not too luxurious for a wish, huh! LOL!)
- a lappy (??)
- fast recovery for my brother-in law
- peaceful and safe life for my sister and her daughters
- to get a job opportunity in the US
- wishing and still thirsting for a Page Rank from Google (for this page)... hopefully next update!
- more blogging opps
There you go! Now it's time for me to tag people along. I am passing it on to Lynn, Dez, Rocks, Samantha, Suzanne, Mel, Amy, Femikey, Ria and Janetvicy.
The rules...
1. Make a list of what you want on your birthday...
2. The list should be 10 numbers
3. Post the image of this award in your posting
4. Give it to 10 friends of yours.
Contrary to what a fortune teller told me before, I guess 2009 is an unfortunate year for me. I don't feel it but I see unlikely things that had happened right at the onset of the year and are still even continue to happen now. Seems like my last year's misery is having a sequel this year and this looks like it, LOL!
Whatta LIFE! When do I deserve to have a break? :-<
But can't blame no one. I have nothing against fortune telling at all either (except tho if I find the teller unconvincing) in fact the last time I've had my fortune told, I was a little ecstatic deep inside because I can feel almost everything he told me were pretty much true and I feel his predictions weren't far beyond realization. He predicted my life would be in bliss this year but seems like things were happening the other way around... lol! but anyway, it's just the beginning of the year. Who knows what tomorrow may bring. I still love to hold onto my hopes no matter how discouraging life would become for me.
I hope so... think that's what life is all about, after all.
Take it or leave it!
Financial issue has been rated as the top barrier to pursuing a desired career for many people. I can't quite excuse myself on this if not for the steadfast effort of my late dad who dreamed nothing but to give us a decent education. I feel disheartened every time I hear news about my former schoolmates from high school who fell into the trap of desperate situations just because their parents can't afford to send them to college. By the time they realize what they want to do, more often than not, they will already have a family who relies on their income. The possibility to study for the field of interest that they need to improve their family's life and living is now seems to be far beyond reach.
However, the evolution of online and distance education brings back the hope in fulfilling the dream jobs for those who come to education later in life. At Ashworth College you will get the chance to develop skills in today's technology-driven business opportunities competitively without interrupting your busy family life. With over 50 accredited online courses and online degree programs, Ashworth College will give you a convenient access to exciting online learning tools immediately after you enroll so you can make fast progress towards your career goals.
Hmm.. I would love to take Culinary Course online but I think Gourmet Cooking and Catering sounds even more interesting. And they have it too! Well as I have said, they have over 50 essential courses to choose from so why not visit Ashworth College and discover what suits your interest best.
Got this unique tag from Lynn. I still wonder why 6 and not 7, 8 or 9... lol! By the way, as per rule, the picture to be posted should come from the 6th folder... unfortunately the 6th folder in my hard drive contains all videos so I have to jump right to the next so that's what made this the 6th picture from the 7th folder.
I know... I'm such a rule breaker, huh! But only when I have to, though!
Anyways, the image you see below is the PESCADOR ISLAND. One of the finest diving spots located off the coast of Cebu. This was taken when my friend and I were chanced to sail with the foreign sea explorers towards this Island in one of their diving activities. From a divers perspective it is an ideal dive site having easy access from the shore - a 10 minute 3 km boat ride from Panagsama Beach and a great range of dive sites from shallow to deep dives and snorkeling.

That was another groovy experience I have had here in Cebu. Though I wasn't able to learn the actual diving as planned, just being able to visit the real diving places like this was such a fun treat! Just don't ask me how much is the price cause I'm sure you gotta do a lot of saving to afford a single diving lesson package...hehehe! Well, I suppose to get it for free then if I wasn't too chicken to try it. Hanggang snorkeling lang ako, eh!
Well, so much for blahs...time for me to pass this tag on now. Hope you can spend some time for this Ria, Eds, Dez, Michelle, Rocks, Samantha, Femikey and Vicy.
Here are the rules:
1. Go to your Picture Folder on your computer or wherever you store your pictures.
2. Go to the 6th Folder and then pick the 6th Picture.
3. Post it on your blog and tell the story that goes with the picture.
4. Tag other glorious people to do the same thing and leave a comment on their blog telling them about it.
Have fun blogging, ladies!!!
I wonder what happen to my blogging mood lately. One minute, bunch of ideas came rushing through my mind. The next minute...bam! they're all gone. Just like while I took a bath after doing the laundry yesterday. In my mind, I was like... oh yes, I should be talking about this and that... but as soon as I entered my room, I just caught myself on a "sit and stare" situation... virtually doing nothing but scrolling the pages up and down...see who's writing on my cbox... checked how many comments I got.
... and the worst thing is... it was all I could do all day. So imagine how many times I did run my pages up and down, read the same messages from my cbox and re-reading comments.
Quality Content?
Pardon me people, but I am so guilty of it lately :-(
Tsk...tsk...tsk... what a terrible blogger!
The last time I remember I made this New Year's resolution thing was during my High School years. It has always been the first thing every teacher would ask from their students to do after the classes resumes from quite a long Christmas holiday vacation.
I really don't make personal resolutions like many people does. I have nothing against setting up goals or aiming something for myself for the entire brand new year. The only thing that made me feel a bit backward about it is the thought of actually not fulfilling it... As the brand new week for the brand new year came in, Amy and Lynn tagged me about it. I don't wanna miss tags as much as possible but honestly... this one really made me ponder.
"New Year's Resolution"
Sounds so familiar but for me it's one of the hardest thing to realize...
But yea, like what the amiable Amy said... for the sake of the tag.
I was asked to list down 12 (??!!) but I can only think of doing these things that I suppose are possible and not too hard to bring to completion, lol!
Hmm... we'll see.
- I should continue blogging! As long as I have my PC and my Internet connection working well for me.
- I should learn to understand and accept the fact that I cannot rule the life of the people I care so much about as much as I wanted them to live their lives in a sound and safe manner. (Well, I'm only trying to care...just how do I have to get it across to them how much I do?) Now, I don't think this is gonna be easy at all but I can try.
- PATIENCE. I badly need more of it. Always.
- FRUSTRATIONS. I have so much of this over the last year. Hope to get over with them all.
- I should be more decisive and determined in pursuing what I want to happen this time for myself.
- .................
Oh, pardon me girls, but this is all I can think for now. Hope this will work...lol! Thanks for sharing, anyway.
Wishing you both a blissful and productive 2009!
Yesterday marked this blog's first year of existence in the blogosphere and I have been meaning to write this post on the dot but my health condition didn't allow me to.
Yes, exactly at New Year's day in 2008 I launched and originally designed this site for personally taken photos but eventually, it turned into a mixed blog (lol!)... Although not everything that's written are as interesting as it should be, I am still grateful for every visit that's being payed by friends, visitors and readers here... The effort, time, uplifting comments and messages were all candidly acknowledged. I owe the growth of this site from all of you. It may not be as fascinating but to express is nonetheless what I am making this for. And like I said from my post here, I am keeping it as well as my other sites no matter what comes around unless I have reason(s) that are compelling enough to cast them aside.
Anyways, so much for that...here are the site's credits and statistics up to date:
Site launched date: January 1, 2008
Number of published posts: 230
Comments written/received: 306
Number of Visitors: 4667
Google Page Rank: 0
Page Authority: 92 (Powered by Technorati)
Subscribers: 2 (Powered by Feedburner)
Templates used: 3
Current Layout Design: Pannasmontata Templates
Once again, my sincere thanks goes out to all my friends and buddies in this virtual community. I'm looking forward to share more blogging moments with you, people...
HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you....CHEERS!
