I felt so blessed having my 2 daughters and seeing them growing so responsibly even without me on their side for the last few years. Despite that I still feel their love and hear them say it a countless times everyday. (Sigh!) How I would just like to melt every time they do. Soon they would be leaving home to welcome yet another brand new school year and I am thinking of giving them something useful and that would remind them of me everyday.

I just came across with an online store recently that offers an array of such great gift ideas for kids. I am caught between their personalized towel wrap and a personalized plate and placemats for children with their favorite Disney princess character on it. I’m sure that would inspire them to love their food and eat more. Or perhaps a toddler nap mats. Why not? They’re no longer toddlers I know but would you believe, even if worn out they are still using their baby mats until now.

As a mother I believe rewarding our children even for their smallest achievement is an effective way of encouraging them to learn more and achieve more. There’s a big difference between rewarding and tolerating which I know of most parents especially moms do to their children. For me giving presents doesn’t always have to come with an occasion. Just like it doesn’t have to be any of my daughter’s Birthday to treat her for an ice cream or a cake.
National Heroes Day (Philippines)... Memorial Day (US)... no matter how it's called, it only conveys one common message and that is honoring the heroic accomplishments of those who with head held high and valiantly fought for people's freedom... They has every reason to deserve a commemoration.

Happy Memorial Day to all those who celebrate it today!

If there's not much choice left, you probably would just say yes, would you not? LOL!

Though it's not a policy, we at home usually don't share personal hygiene essentials like bath soap and shampoo. I was aware my daughters consumed the few last drops of my shampoo this morning so after taking their bath I asked them both to buy me a sachet but unfortunately the store next to our house was close so I ended up using a bath soap for my hair instead. Weird I know and it certainly don't feel good but I just can't use a conditioner without cleansing my scalp first. I always make sure though I don't run out of hair conditioner. So I still feel light when I stepped out the bathroom.

What about you... how do you think you would respond to a situation like this?
Hello here... my apology for taking too long to update this page. Trying to multitask both on and off line... working here and here ... trying to be a mom but still I can only do as much. I don't have much to tell for now apart from saying thank you to those who keep this page alive through their visits and to the gradually growing number of my followers. Never knew you were there until early this afternoon when I checked each of your links. Though I only knew most of you virtually but I'm still grateful for your effort and for your company.

Thank you so much...

Manila...the capital city of the Philippines... The farthest place I've ever been so far.

Never in my entire life did I dream of coming to visit if not for a very important task that I need to accomplish a month ago. While on board a plane, my heart won't seem to stop pounding thinking of the stories and mere talks that I've heard from people who already have gone there. While my mind won't stop wondering how would it be like after stepping down the plane. You may think, I'm over responding but I think it's just a normal reaction when you're at a certain place for the first time and where almost everything is unfamiliar. But, so be it! I ought to be there to get my task done.

Though it didn't turn out to be a fortunate appointment, I am still thankful I successfully made it safe. Plus I have had a day of pleasurable chance to visit Robinson's Manila and explore what they consider the 3rd largest mall of the entire Asia, the SM Mall of Asia. Syempre, di ko na pinalampas since nandun na rin lang ako, di ba. It's just about 20-minute ride (with a regular traffic flow) from Manila Bay Hotel in Roxas Boulevard where I stayed.

And this is of course one of the reasons while I didn't want to come without my camera with me (:-D)

to take this view, I have to walk more or less a hundred meter from the mall's grocery entrance where the taxi driver dropped me and then back to the main entrance after taking the pic

this giant globe which I believe a landmark is the very first thing that would catch your attention as soon as you enter the mall's premises. It is situated right infront of the mall's main entrance.

just another outside view I decided to take. the taxi driver told me this building across consist of the SM's different department offices.

the mall's main entrance hall...

and this is me... helping my ownself... just to have a souvenir of myself while inside the mall, (poor me... I'm all alone!)

another self service... this time at the NAIA, keeping myself busy while patiently waiting for our aircraft to arrive. Me along with the other passengers were stuck for 2 hours. The weather was bad. I don't want to fall asleep... the passenger's waiting area got congested due to flight delays.

see how the weather was like? though the rain wasn't really that bad, i still think it's what causes the flight delays during that time.

wear that jacket on... it's finally time to leave!12A-window seat, here I come!
but since it's already dark and I can no longer see what it's like on the outside, I opt to just take a nap for the entire flight duration instead. It really helped me feel better.

Huh, what a very tiring day it was. True enough, it takes a day or two to explore the entire mall of Asia or perhaps even more to get through a complete shopping especially I think during holidays. The following morning, I can't almost get my body up...I certainly was stiff and my legs were hurting so bad from all the walking. Arghh!!!

Finally, after how everything turned out, I believe I deserve some break. And to whichever in the world I wanna see myself next? don't want to think about it yet! I just wanna be in one place right now...and that is HOME... where I can give my pretty little head some rest.
What another sweet victory our very own Manny "Pacman" Paquiao and the entire Philippines just had this morning. I know a lot of people from all walks of life were and are still talking about the today's event... how it started and how it ended so quick. I've watched some stories from television and read some published entries about the match.

Even the plurking community, di pinalampas si Pacman and sure di kinaya ng powers ko ang mga comments and reactions ng iba. Katulad na lang nga mga ito:
Plurker 1. Pahinga na muna si Ted Failon and his case.

Plurker 2. The LOSER Hatton!

Plurker 3. Ang bilis! Lugi yung mga viewers from PPV!

Plurker 4. May na hold-up kaya ngayong araw?

Plurker 5. Pumiyok nga daw ba si Martin?

Plurker 6. May pambabae na naman si Paquiao (Hala!)

Plurker 7. Napaisip kung kelan matatalo si Paquiao sa laban

... at marami pang iba.
Hay... since the onset of my plurking activities, I have never been this amazed and pleased. Now, i can tell that plurking is really growing in me. I have so fun doing it. Haven't you yet? If not, You may visit my plurk page here to get started :-)

Have a fantastic Sunday, everyone!
Third attempt to write about something for today but I still can't gather my thoughts. Twenty more minutes before the clock strikes 12. Come first of May... another Philippine's official holiday. I wonder what are the people's agenda for tomorrow. I'm sure the country's streets and highways will again be filled with different group of advocates aiming for their voices to be heard. Oh well, I really have nothing against these people as long as they will just act reasonably and accordingly.

May 1 is Philippines' Labor Day

I remember, last year's labor day we were in this place. One of the beach resorts my friend, Bebe and I visited while I was still in Cebu. And this is how I wrote the words LABOR DAY on the sand using a bottle of purified drinking water. Just don't take notice of the displayed date on the picture though. I got too excited to capture views and places using my new digital camera during that time and so I simply did not bother setting the date and time. So this pictures were taken May 1st of last year ... 2008 and not 2007 :-D

Anyways, to people for their pursuit to whatever, I wish them safe and and successful endeavor for tomorrow. Me, I'd rather just stay home and hopefully have a productive holiday.
