The Philippine US Embassy

2:10 PM

Everyday there are hundreds of people from all over the Philippines who come to try their luck at the Philippine US Embassy In Roxas Boulevard, Manila. People from all walks of life and all ages are flooding the place each day, hoping with fingers crossed for a visa grant. Most of them are aiming to secure a job abroad. And it doesn't matter even if they fail the first or the second time around... they still keep their hopes intact till they make it. That's how desperate some Filipino people are to get rid of the getting unreliable economic situation of the country.

Contrary to what I have thought, the building is situated in park-like place surrounded with trees and landscapes. Securities are tight and rules are strictly obeyed. The visa application processing is rigid. You always have to pay attention if you don't want to lose your chance all together. I think that's one of the reasons why they prohibit the bringing of electronic gadgets around the place. To keep the entire visa application processing runs smooth.

How to reach the Philippine US Embassy? From the airport, you can ask airport staffs to show you where the departure area is. Take a yellow metered coupon taxi. It's a little bit costlier than the ordinary ones but it's safer especially for first timers. Airport authorities will give you coupon with the taxi's information and a contact number you can call to channel your complains in case you have any.
