Mama and I were attending the rooster mass on its first day last year (2009) and while walking on our way back, I was chanced to take this picture of our old rented house.
Yes, in this roughly more than 30-year old wooden house is where we (me and my siblings) all grew up. A lot of worth-remembering memories were made in this house from childhood to adulthood. Simple living as you can imagine. If I may say even pet dogs on their dog pedic beds are luckier than us. We're not used to sleep on soft beds at night but on a matted hard wooden floor. We got no house help. Each one of us has assigned tasks to do on a daily basis.
Looking back from where I am right now, I realized how hard our life was back then but then we were still thankful we have a safe place to return to at the end of each day. As far as I can imagine, none of what we went through give any of us a reason to complain, instead that challenging stage of our lives helped us to become good persons of value that we all are now.

This is it, finally... my first entry for the month! But first off and before I brag about myself I'd like to congratulate first (though this may late) Kaye for hosting the new Girls Talk. I've learned about it after reading entries from last month in which I wasn't able to join in for some reasons. But now I'm back and this is really it.
So... what do I love about myself mentally? This has got me really thinking. I thought the last theme was the toughest for the month, I was wrong. Somebody will raise some violent reactions for sure if I say something I can be proud of mentally especially these days. So let it just not be known to the world. I'm crazy, what can I say?
But on a lighter note, Like Ms. K I also did fairly well during my entire school days. The fact that I finished college, took home a diploma and landed some decent jobs from the past (and hopefully a new one soon) can justify it enough that my mind box indeed is in a healthy state. Need I say more? Hmm, I have poor memory too that sometimes lead me to some sort of embarrassment. Although, that don't bother me much.
Here in our place the town fiesta is the biggest and most anticipated event next to Christmas each year and in two weeks time we will be celebrating it once again.
As early as now we are already discussing what dishes to prepare for that big day. This time we want something different. Of course the roast pig will still be there for the main course but we want something new for other dishes and desserts. That's going to be my next task in line... to search for at least 2 or 3 new delicious, easy to prepare recipes that we can prepare for the coming fiesta.
But that has to wait a while because right now I still have two things that needs done before I can shift my focus for that recipe search thing. One, I have to look for cheap laptops online as per requested by my sister and two, I got paper works to do that should be done before eight sharp on Wednesday. So far I've already found one site that offers reasonable prices for laptop computers. I think I can recommend it to her.
Anyway, I still have a week or so left for recipe hunting so there's really no need to hurry. Although I must admit... the coming fiesta really excites me more than I can imagine. I know it's going to be a strenuous event but it is so full of fun... what can I say? And I can't wait to get reunited again with families and friends.

Instead of sleeping alone in my room like I used to, I had to invade one of mom's room just to have company at night. With that, the time I spend online has been obviously cut too. I used to sleep as late as 3 am or even 5 but after that incident I prefer to secure myself from all the weird thoughts and just watch TV at moms till I get tired and doze.
I'm trying not to think so much about it especially at night. But last night I slept at moms again for the third time but I'll shall be doing it alternately until I feel easy enough to sleep comfortably back alone in my own room. It may just take time.
