This photo was taken when they last visited the Keystone Park last year. I wasn't there of course but JK never fails to share pictures of their family weekend activities with me.

Anyway, this is his son JD. How time flies so quick. He's turning 17 today (28th: PA date and time). We seldom talk but we do see each other online pretty much everyday. I like him and think he's sweet especially when he says: "Hi, its JD... Dad's on the phone and says he loves you or Hi, he's in the shower... he'll be down in a few." Favors like these from him really make my heart melt.

But the sweetest I can remember of him was when he picked these lovely flowers from their yard last year and (virtually) gave it for me. I always do cherish simple gestures like this. It may mean nothing for him but to me it is something.

JD, one more year and you will be embracing the world of adulthood. I wish you nothing but all the best especially good health. Happy, happy birthday to you!
Whew!!! This week has been so overwhelming so far. It started with the desire to look for a job. I did and successfully reserved interviews with two companies. I was all set to go when Paypal all of a sudden made an issue with my withdrawal transaction prior to my interview schedules. How on earth am I supposed to get myself to the city without the money I need. Grrr!!!

But not only that... I was as well attacked with flu. Actually, I got no symptoms at all. I just woke one morning (a day before I'm supposed to go to my interviews) with a broken voice. Then as the day went on, my throats starts to get itchy, I started barking, had the headache and slight fever. Then I pondered... are all these instances telling me of something?

But not till the next day came. Early in the morning I got a text message from one of the companies reminding me of the interview. In as much as I want to inform them my situation, I tried to call back but failed to get in. Shortly, one of their staffs dialed my cell phone number and from there I explained why I can't make it. Good thing they understand and reconsidered my schedule for exams and interview next week. Right now I'm still sick ... hope I'd be better by then.
Today's mode:
that God answered some of my prayers so far. One, a possible employment and two, for granting us a fine weather today which I have been praying for over the last few days.

Around 2 in the afternoon yesterday, I had a surprise phone interview conducted by a representative of eTelecare - a Stream Global Services Company. Saturday (21st) when I applied electronically and it's amazing how they responded as quick than I have imagined. Then I checked my mails again few hours later and there I found another interview request from another company. Good thing, they were scheduled separately. One is on the 25th, which is tomorrow and the other is on the following day, 26th. So today's going to be an errand day for me. I don't want to come there unprepared. At this time, I only have one more concern and hope it'll be addressed within the day.
The other day I've been to one of the busiest streets here in the web.... the street where people showcase both their personal and professional qualifications for the so called "JOB" of their dream.

It's been 3 years since I quit my job in one of the prestigious automobile companies in Davao. No, I don't miss working with them again but I do miss going out on a regular basis though it is not mainly the reason why I am searching for a new well paying job at Jobstreet, nor to become wealthy. Aside from the fact that I need to improve my financial security, I am as well preparing for a possible bigger if not the biggest task that might be entrusted to me in the coming year.

This morning I am happy to see that 5 out my 6 applications have already been viewed by employers where 3 are now in process while the other 2 are under consideration. That means I should be bracing myself for possible interview appointments that may take place in the future. This is going to be a new challenge for me but I'm ready to take my chance. Hopefully I will be granted one... before or after Christmas is fine.

I've always wanted the rain, but not this much. It's been weeks of none-stop raining and aside from the crazy feeling it gives me I also can't get my laundry done. Too bad! Hopefully, we'll get to see some sunlight soon.

Anyway, Friday's here again. It's amazing how time flies so fast. In the next few hours another week is about to end. Wonder if I have done something productive this week. Was there any really?
These are some of the pictures we had during the last excursion in which details I have posted here three days ago. Like I said the sad part was us not having a good camera with us to take quality pictures. We are only counting on my sister's phone camera but even that didn't cooperate well, (sigh!)

Anyway, this was our third stop where we had our lunch... at Mergande Village Resort situated at Talomo District- the southern part of Bago Aplaya in Davao. The water was so inviting but the height of the sun's heat was even more biting... ahhh!!! So it was only my niece MJ who took a plunge. She must have missed the beach a lot to not even bother the super hot weather.

Well, there she is/us. We were getting ready to head out the place while sister tried her camera one more time.

Sisters Inah and Jam while making faces. They're my older sister Joyce's daughters. The rest below are few of the resort's attractions. We took these pictures while walking our way out to the beach premises.

Can't wait to post the pictures of us carrying a real phyton and a baby crocodile at the crocodile park. I still need to have the photos scanned... hopefully soon.

Unlike the olden time parents especially mothers of today's generation are undeniably more sophisticated when it comes to their children and family keepsake preservation. There are still those who use the conventional photo albums we can get from the department stores however modern mothers of today prefers the customized and artistic albums - they call it scrapbook. Some do it by themselves while others simply get it from special craft stores they know. The prices vary of course depending on the materials used and the quality of the finish product.

If you are skilled enough you can actually create as many books as you can with different themes and subjects. If not, let Posylane do it for you. Posylane is an online boutique known for their unique gift ideas that you can personalize. Among their popular items are towels wraps, nap mat, monogrammed tumblers, backpacks, lunch totes, penny laine baby book and now this school keepsake book.

This keepsake book in particular measures 8-1/2" x 9" x 1. It has pre-printed age appropriate pages, contains photo sleeve pages for 20 4"x6" photos and two pockets for other memorabilia. It makes a best gift for young children from preschoolers, kindergarten and graders.

Here in the blogosphere however, I've also seen lots of mother especially stay at home moms who are into this digital scrapbooking thing and blog about it. Most of them use their family for a subject of course. And when it's time for them to sport their creations through their posts, I just can't help but to feel envy. They are simply impressive and how I wish I have the same skills too like they do. I did some research about it and had few attempts but nothing happened. I just can't seem to do it right. I'm not giving up though till I can make it one day.
.... photos: to follow!

Yesterday's activity was a big success though there were some minor problems along the way but still the kids were able to enjoy while learning and that's what counts.

First stop was at the Davao's Crocodile Park. Like I said, there were some inconsistencies so we reach the place a bit late than the estimated time of arrival. We packed foods as instructed and had our first meal of the day at the park's reserved areas for eating. We did all things together so as soon as everyone's done with breakfast we headed right away to explore the park.

The oldest (like thousands year old) as well as the largest creature inside the park was a living crocodile, thus speaks the name of the park although there were number of other wild, endangered animals around that are waiting to entertain the park goers. There's the different kind of snakes, tigers, boar, monkeys, turtles, birds, ostrich and many more. On the other end of the park lies the so amusing butterfly sanctuary.

I should be jotting down details of every featured creature there but the kids were so amazed that I can hardly control their every move. We weren't able to get good pictures either as sister failed to secure a good camera. It would have been so nice but well, there's always be a second time - we still enjoyed the views at least.

Next stop was at the Science and Technology Centrum. Glad we didn't stayed there for long as the location as well as the center itself is not really worth paying. The kids may have enjoyed some of their exhibits but that was just it. The rest of that part was just disappointing.

At Mergrande Beach Resort we had our lunch. Ah, what a very relaxing place to be. Perfect for our murmuring tummies, LOL! The sun's heat was biting but that didn't stop the kids and their parents to take a plunge. No we didn't. I like beaches but I'm not much of a beach water person.

Final stop... at the Mall!
Shop... shop... shop!
Again I didn't have much money to spend so I just bought some small personal stuffs. Oh well, this is getting too long now. I still have to upload the pictures we took so I'll be posting them here soon. Thanks for reading!
My daughters are so into movies and so are my nieces. Since they know now how to manipulate the DVD player, they are often left free to pick their preferred movies to watch. The keyword "preferred" means only those movies that they are permitted to watch and they know what they are. There are 6 of them, not to mention the toddler so most likely, the majority wins. However, they can be sneaky at times too especially when left unattended. Harrowing and gruesome movies are simply inappropriate for their ages yet they tend to get inquisitive about it and even watch some despite constant reminders.

We adults must always take responsibility of our young ones knowing that things can be easily insinuated in their delicate minds. If important things like morals and values needs to be learned by watching movies, so be it as long as proper guidance is observed.

Anyway, speaking of movies, Charter's On Demand packages that allows you and your entire family enjoy your spare time together is now available online via charter.net - a customizable customer web portal with easy access to over 6000 movies and shows to watch anytime you want. Two of my nieces go in the same kindergarten school. Tomorrow they will be having their first excursion participation while my older sister Joyce and I will be their accompanying guardians.

I don't have the exact details of the trip yet but it's going to be a one full day activity. I just hope sister will be able to secure a camera that we can use tomorrow. My brother brought my old camera to a repair man this afternoon but he can't seem to fix it.

Well it sure is gonna be a big day and I can tell how the little girls are so excited about it. Gotta tuck them to bed early tonight... need to make sure they'll be ready enough for a long day ahead.
Ciao for now!
The moment you let another person drive you, you give them full control of the car and the route that you take. Similar, if you let another person place priorities in your life, you will end up following their path, instead of yours. It is also not a secret that the longer you stay in the cab, the more it will cost you and the longer it will take you to get back. If you do not like where you are going in life, it is probably time to take the initiative back into your hands.
Ever wonder why life seems so pointless at times?
We want something done but we just don't know how.
We want to be at a certain place but we can't seem to find the right path to get there.
We get what we want but there always seems to be missing.

Are all these phrases sounds familiar to you?

To me it is and is what exactly I am feeling right now... the emptiness of life despite the presence of everything. But I halt when I happen to read The 9 Universal Goal-Setting Laws. This article is really worth a read. You don't want to miss it as the changes that you need to take may start from there.
On the outskirts of a small town, there was a big, old pecan tree just inside the cemetery fence. One day, two boys filled up a bucketful of nuts and sat down by the tree, out of sight, and began dividing the nuts. "One for you, one for me. One for you, one for me," said one boy. Several dropped and rolled down toward the fence.

Another boy came riding along the road on his bicycle. As he passed, he thought he heard voices from inside the cemetery. He slowed down to investigate. Sure enough, he heard, "One for you, one for me. One for you, one for me."

He just knew what it was. He jumped back on his bike and rode off. Just around the bend he met an old man with a cane, hobbling along. "Come here quick," said the boy, "you won't believe what I heard! Satan and the Lord are down at the cemetery dividing up the souls."

The man said, "Beat it kid, can't you see it's hard for me to walk." When the boy insisted though, the man hobbled slowly to the cemetery. Standing by the fence they heard, "One for you, one for me. One for you, one for me."

The old man whispered, "Boy, you've been tellin' me the truth. Let's see if we can see the Lord."

Shaking with fear, they peered through the fence, yet were still unable to see anything. The old man and the boy gripped the wrought iron bars of the fence tighter and tighter as they tried to get a glimpse of the Lord.

At last they heard, "One for you, one for me. That's all. Now let's go get those nuts by the fence and we'll be done."

They say the old man made it back to town a full 5 minutes ahead of the kid on the bike.

It's back to school time for my two pretty little ladies.

T'was another sad farewell we had yesterday but hey, they have had a fun-filled two weeks vacation at least. Besides, Christmas is only a month shy away and it has been guaranteed to me that the most special time of the year is ours to celebrate together. I can't be any happier!

I got so many things in mind to do with them before and after Christmas. For one thing I wished for their presence when I have to put up a Christmas tree though I know it is an insurmountable idea unless of course if I decide to do it after Christmas which is a big HA... HA!

I know... just trying to un-break my eyes while doing this post. I am missing them already!
Have you check out what's new at Zenni Optical today? Aside from their new arrivals, their collection of holiday fun eyeglasses is something you shouldn't miss! They obviously come in stylish and brightly colored frames as they are designed for the holiday season.

This pair is on top of the list and is my favorite. What makes it attractive is because it comes in different colors that you can wear for an entire week if you so choose to get all six. For your opposing preference however, please feel free to browse the given links around this post. There are still a lot of designs to choose from and I'm sure you will find one that will suit your taste for an eye wear. And don't forget to also check over the famous $8 Prescription Zenni Glasses because at Zenni, it's the quality that counts and not the value of what's in your pocket.
